FROM EARTH TO RADIANCE

THE JOURNEY OF A DIAMOND

Before revealing its full brilliance, a diamond goes through various stages. From its natural origin to its selection, then its analysis and cutting, each stone follows a journey where nature, expertise, and craftsmanship meet.

01 — THE ORIGIN

Natural diamonds are formed deep within the Earth, under extreme pressure and temperature conditions.

The result of a geological process spanning periods that can reach several billion years, each diamond is a unique creation of nature.

02 — EXTRACTION

Once the deposits have been identified, the diamonds are extracted and then gradually separated from the rock and other minerals surrounding them.

At this stage, the diamond is still in its rough state. Its appearance is very different from that of a cut diamond: its facets and brilliance have yet to be revealed.

03 — THE SELECTION

Rough diamonds are then sorted and selected according to their various characteristics: weight, dimensions, shape, color, and apparent quality.

This initial selection makes it possible to distinguish the stones and identify those that meet the desired characteristics.

Each diamond is different. It is this uniqueness that makes its selection essential.

04 — ANALYSIS

Before cutting, every rough diamond can undergo an in-depth analysis.

Its structure, shape, and internal characteristics are studied in order to determine the various possibilities for transforming the stone.

This step makes it possible to consider the shape and proportions that will best leverage the rough diamond's potential.

05 — PRUNING

The diamond is then entrusted to specialized artisans. Each stone is crafted with great precision to give it its proportions and create its various facets.

The cut plays an essential role in how light interacts with the diamond, thereby gradually revealing its brilliance.

Every movement counts and requires precision, experience, and expertise.
